Double-Ended Cylinders

HANGONG stainless steel sampling cylinder realizes the storage and transportation safety of liquid and gas. These cylinders are rated at DOT 1800psig (124bar) at 70oF (21 C). The range of applications includes sampling of refinery hydrocarbons, sampling of gas chromatography, and sampling of condensate from fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.

HANGONG stainless steel sampling cylinder realizes the storage and transportation safety of liquid and gas. These cylinders are rated at DOT 1800psig (124bar) at 70oF (21 C). The range of applications includes sampling of refinery hydrocarbons, sampling of gas chromatography, and sampling of condensate from fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.
The ends of each cylinder are processed into ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 internal threads, which are connected with HANGONG valves, bursting discs, fittings and external piping.
Stainless steel sampling cylinders are made of seamless type 316 tubes, with integrity and corrosion resistance. The pocket type design provides a smooth internal passage for the fluid operation, while the neck as a transition can reduce the loss of samples before capture. Because the cylinder is not welded, the inner surface of the cylinder has no defects, so less contamination on the inner surface of the cylinder can still keep the bottle clean and reduce the adhesion of the pollutants.
Test standard
Each cylinder is subjected to static pressure test of 3000psi (206bar).
Overvoltage protection
According to the DOT regulations of the United States and CGA S-1.1, compressed gas cylinders must be equipped with pressure relief devices. The CGA standard lists devices that can be used in conjunction with specific gases. It also contains information about other types of pressure relief devices.
Ø  The correct pressure relief device must be used for all gases;
Ø  According to DOT or other local specifications, proper pouring of cylinders is extremely important to prevent overpressure.
Safety film device
The HANGONG safety film device prevents the cylinder from over pressurization by releasing the gas from the cylinder into the atmosphere. The safety film is welded on a component that is screwed into the valve body or on the three joint of the safety film and is sealed with an elastomer O ring. It is easy to change the safety film without removing the valve or three way connector from the cylinder.
Preventive measures of safety film
1, do not install the safety film in the gas release of the cylinder may be dangerous place to use. The safety film is emitted into the atmosphere through six radial holes in the body. There is a huge roar when the pressure is released, and the gas escapes at a very high speed.
2, to understand the bursting pressure (according to the requirements of CGA S-1.1., this rating is marked on the end of the safety film device).
3. Make sure that the maximum burst pressure does not exceed the test pressure of the cylinder.
4, to confirm that the minimum burst pressure is at least 40% higher than the cylinder pressure.
5. Regularly inspect the safety film. Because of the temperature. The strength of the safety film decreases with time due to corrosion and fatigue. Pulse pressure, vacuum, pressure cycle, heat and corrosive fluid and atmosphere can reduce the bursting pressure of the safety film.
6, for compressed gas, do not use safety film to protect the cylinder larger than 3Gal (11355cm3), for liquefied gas, not for safety film to protect the volume of more than 11/2gal (5677cm3) cylinder.
7, when sampling, there should be appropriate measures to separate the sampling cylinder and the system, in order to deal with the situation of safety blasting
8. A slight increase in temperature during transportation or storage may cause liquid expansion in cylinders containing liquefied gas and may cause rupture of the safety film and release its contents. For the safety limits of your application, please refer to local regulations and other guidelines for use.
Safety film three way joint
These compact components are designed to be used in conjunction with various HANGONG valves. The three way joint is made of 316 stainless steel. There is a safety film device in all kinds of three way joints.

Structure
The reserved volume pipe is welded at the entrance of the external thread of the transfer joint or the three way joint. Then the transfer joint or the three way joint is screwed into the internal thread port of the sampling cylinder by thread. The reserved volume pipe can be directly welded to the external thread entry port of the HANGONG non rotating stem needle valve. Then screw the valve through the thread into the inner threaded port of the sample cylinder.
Length
The length of the reserved volume tube (L) is the length measured at the end of the pipe joint. Reserved volume tube evaporation space total capacity is 10.4in. standard length (26.4cm). The tube can be cut to the required length with a manual.
Objective
A cylinder containing liquefied gas in a reserved volume tube provides an evaporation space for the required volume, and the liquid in the cylinder can expand when the proper temperature is raised. There is not enough evaporation space, small temperature rise can cause liquid expansion and make the pressure rise sharply. For the safety limits of your application, please refer to local regulations and other guidelines for use.
Use
The reserved volume is expressed as the total volume percentage of the cylinder, the evaporation space in the cylinder, the percent reserved volume = (evaporation space / total volume) x 100.
Keep the cylinder in a vertical position and reserve the volume tube at the top. The length of the reserved volume tube determines the size of the evaporation space. Sampling methods and the use of reserved volume tubes are described in the technical publications of standard methods (manual methods) such as ASTM D1265 sampling liquefied petroleum gas (LP) gas.
